It's not gonna be hard to find other people who have experienced foot warts first hand. Tons and tons of people have seen those ugly bumps on their feet (and other body parts). Medical professionals usually call them “plantar warts”. Thankfully, because it's so common, there are quite a few cures you can try to get rid of them. The wart virus is pretty resilient and needs proper care for it to be removed thoroughly. If you're into natural remedies for your wart problems, then by all means research them. If instead you'd rather have your doctor remove the wart(s) then give him/her a call right away. It usually takes very little time for a doctor to treat a wart.

As mentioned above, plantar warts are a common occurrence. There are literally millions of people at this very moment who are affected by foot warts. Surprising? No not at all. It's your feet that are in contact with the outside world the most (directly, at least). They tough the surface on which you walk. Because of that public pools are not the place you want to walk around in with bare feet. It's very easy for the wart virus to jump from the pool floor to your yummy feet. So avoid walking there bare-footed!

I'm a bit of an expert on foot warts, because I've had a few myself. The most painful one was the one on my big toe. Ouch that hurt like hell, and it made me walk funny for weeks until I went and made an appointment to have it removed. Because of the constant friction between your feet and the ground it takes along time for warts to heal. Every time you put your feet on the ground it pretty much damages the skin (and the wart, in this case).

So what exactly causes the foot warts to appear? It's called the HPV virus, and it sadly is very common in our world. It's a nasty virus but when it comes to foot warts it's mostly harmless, except for of course the pain that it causes. It basically messes up the skin cell renewal and makes it work overtime. It feels at home in your skin quite quickly, and is not too demanding. By taking action as soon as you notice a weird bump on your feet you can avoid some painful weeks! What you shouldn't do is try to remove the wart yourself by using your nails or any other tools for that matter. There are special products available for wart removal, or your doctor will be more than happy to remove that unwelcome guest for you.
